A few of my favorites – but PLEASE understand = the images of these pieces don’t do anything for them at all. The complexity and color is lost completely.
These are by Imi Hwangbo – they are amazing layers of mylar. Hand cut and layered from small to large – each a lacy and smaller version of itself. Each piece is made of between 18-35 sheets of the mylar and they flutter in the breeze showing the exacting hand of the artist. Beautiful and amazing.
These are the most beautiful paintings in person by Berliner Anne Neukamp. Oil and egg tempura, each so full of texture and subtlety that you can only see the genius of in person. They are large and I think she will someone to watch.
