Walked to Rainbow Beach was conceived while spending time on the north coast near Lake Cathie during Covid lockdown. I walked and this fed my imagination. The sea and the lake nearly met and the lovely bushwalk to get there inspired this painting. The memory of two pines on the headland populated the work as it evolved and I revisited it many times before it felt resolved.
