In this show there are three paintings reflecting on my New Zealand roots. This painting was done from some photos I took at a garden shop/cafe in NZ, where I was just out to have a cup of tea with my elderly mum right before Covid came through. Now I can't visit NZ, and I realised this was the last time I will have a cup of tea out with her. So I painted the plants she so loves as a wee reminder of the simple things that happen that you don’t even know might have significance until they are past.
