Still life in my work is always about the collection of objects as a reflection of a person; it is a form of self-portrait. These still life paintings are inspired by my bits and bobs that are my story this year--the Amazon Prime box as a constant companion along with my cat, the shell my man found for me on my birthday--ordinary and everyday things but a celebration of colour and small gratitudes.
