LIGHTSPEED: a solo exhibition of works by Liz Tran

ZINC contemporary is pleased to present a solo exhibition of works by Seattle based artist Liz Tran entitled LIGHTSPEED. 

With this series Tran aims to bring a brighter atmosphere to the often grey days with her vivid playful pieces. She channels dream imagery, geodes, outer space, and The Big Bang in her explorative, sometimes psychedelic, and always imaginative color wheel of work. Each piece layers mixed media dynamite with acrylic paint, lightfast acrylic inks, graphite, enamel, and original collage elements. “It’s intuitive, but color is the constant,” said Tran of her current series. “Recent imagery has called to mind flowers, mandalas, outer space, explosions and geodes. Often I don’t realize what I have painted until long after the painting is completed.”
