MAXIMALIST IN MOTION
Chelsea Wong
March 7 – April 6, 2019
“Through a menagerie of folk-like figures, I invite the viewer into my unique experiences and travels. The series brings us to several places; Tibet and the world of Buddhism, San Francisco and its busy cultural offerings, and to the inner workings of my mind, influences and spiritual realm. It is important for the viewer to be a witness to my experience. Maximilist in Motion is a description of my life and the words evoke fullness and capacity. The work is simple in some of its renderings, yet distinctly anti-minimalist.”
