This piece is an imagined representation of the mind and its various thought forms and structures. I am very interested in how various thoughts and patterns form in our thoughts and behaviours and how we can apply meta cognition - or thinking about thinking to become aware of these patterns and then change them. Thoughts seem so insubstantial yet systems of thought and belief are deeply ingrained in us in an actual biological way - the patterns of neurons wiring together and firing together. There are a couple of figurative elements included - my attempts to visualize aspects of the self within the landscape of these patterns. There is a brain-like form in the center - I guess the brain is more opaque for most of us since all of this is happening at the cellular level.
