Past Exhibitions Biography CV Statement Press
Seattle-based artist Jennifer Ament has a background in printmaking, encaustic, mural work and painting. Her figurative works question the narratives of our digital personas that push us out of reality and into an illusion. Her paintings further explore themes of existence, meaning, and reality, and investigate what defines truth in our current era. The artist draws inspiration from celestial imagery, the night sky, and Pacific Northwest nature.

“My goal is to expand and clarify the idea of existence and reality through an investigation of “what is truth?” in my paintings. I believe there is some kind of universal energy around the question of “is everything an illusion?”, and the possibility that we’re living in a dream state.”
