John Dempcy US, b. 1958

Born in Seattle in 1958 John Dempcy grew to find the environment of the Pacific Northwest to be a source of inspiration to his burgeoning creative endeavors. For John, art has always been a natural way to express a deep emotional tie to the area and its intricate web of life. John received a B.A. in Art from the University of Washington and an A.A. degree in Graphic Design from the Art Institute of Seattle. He has exhibited his work throughout the United States and has paintings in numerous private, public, and corporate collections including Microsoft, the Swedish Medical Group, and the University of Oregon. John was awarded a Pollock-Krasner Foundation grant in 2019.
